battery question(s)
alright, so the system is in (not that it's running or anything) and i'm expecting to have to upgrade the electrical sometime in the near future. What I want to do is run a dual battery setup. I already know that i want a Kinetik HC2400 in the back. go big or go home
the front battery i've got a question about. I've got *alot* of wires running to my terminals, and they're a tad overloaded. Big 3 wiring, groundfusion kit, nology hotwires ground, my auxilary fusebox lead, my foglight wires, and the stock wires. LOTS of wires lol. If i could find something with side posts, it would make the wiring look SO much cleaner (because they dont make regular terminals that can handle all those wires). The only battery i've seen thus far with sideposts are optima's (and some weird deka intimidator batteries on ebay). Seeing as the front battery isnt going to be the main battery for the system, what kind of optima should i get? redtop? D34/78 is the size i need w/ the sideposts right?
as for the kinetik in the back. I want to put it underneith the rear floor. Where can i find a battery case that will hold this battery and have mounting points on the top so that i can bolt it in hanging from the rear floor pan?
as for wiring between, 0awg positive to postive and negative to negative. positive fuses @ 300amps.

Hmmm.... very interesting question Harrison.
Let me see if I can shed some light on your power situation. Sometimes "Go big or go home" has its drawbacks. For instance, If I purchased a hummer and tried to park it in my single car garage, I would cause some damage to the building and perhaps the paint job. Don't get discouraged there, there are some advantages to "go big or go home." One advantage that I can think of is Turbo set ups. I'm sure this can easily be seen in the Skittle community, they laugh at a tC with a turbo until one flies by them...then they figure...time to upgrade and then they do and blow an engine....works out for Scion.
As far as a battery.... I have no clue. I just figured that I would waste some of your time to read this thread. The fact that you are still reading this post makes me laugh a little inside, but not the laugh that you get when something is hilarious, but rather the laugh that a girl gets when her new boyfriend drops his drawers and doesn't live up to the phrase "Go big or go home." Now I'm sure all the haters out there are going to criticize my playfulness in this thread, but just know that Harrison is a good friend of mine........... he never laughs when I drop my d............. TMI. Just playing again.
I just wanted to say though harrison.... it sounds like a lot of work for 2 10" subs with under 2000W Ampage. Are you planning to upgrade?

Run an aftermarket terminal such as the one above and add a distribution block under the hood as well. Loom all the wires up and run them along existing routes and you should be fine. That would clean it up nicely, I don't think you really need a second battery unless you plan on doing SPL competition, it's kinda overkill if you ask me.

Does anyone got a picture of that topper?

keep in mind if you use the battery topper, you will have to hold your battery down in other means. our factory mounting points for holding the battery in place will not work this this tie down, because the volt meter of the distribution block is right there.
and yes, you can still use the side posts on the optima batteries with this.
