Default BAZOOKA SUB???

I'm going to buy a scion soon and i want a lot of bass. i know the bazooka sub isn't very good but i also have a 12" m2 planet audio sub. I am wondering if it is possible to hook up a better amp to the bazooka and if it will hit harder.
thanks[/b]

i took the bazooka sub out, added a kicker sub into the slot which was powered by a diamond amp. sounded much better. the bazooka enclosure is good because of where it gets mounted-it leaves u with trunk space.

i know the bazooka sub isnt good and should probably be replaced, but since i have another sub i am wondering if i could hook up a better amp to the bazooka and if it would hit harder because i am already going to hook up my 12". so i guess i'm just wondering if it makes sense to get the bazooka because my 12" hits pretty hard i just want a little more boom and i don't know if the bazooka would od that.

For the cost of the Scion option bazooka I'd say no, especially if you already have a 12", I got a Bazooka tube, 10" X 200W, and love it though, nice sound and easy to remove if I nee more trunk space, or go to the drag strip.

To be honest, I would say you are better off having a custom enclosure built. If you want a lot of bass then the Bazooka sub or enclosure is not for you. There is not enough airspace for an aftermarket sub so the bass is not as deep. For me, I removed the Bazooka sub and replaced it with a Memphis 15-PR104 10" sub that is powered by a 600watt Kenwood amp. It hits a lot harder but the bass is not as deep. I tried sealing the port with a pipe plug I bought from Lowes but it does not help that much. My next step, have a similair enclousure built that will allow for deeper bass and just sell the Bazooka enclosure as well as the sub.

#1) DON'T mix and match different subs/powers

#2) bazooka has almost no BOOM...

#3) bazooka is WAY overpriced...
