Does the sub hit pretty well? Would it be possible to mount the sub power to a switch to turn it on or off? Thanks for your help.

^ Most people say no, but I suspect they're bassheads. If you're looking for something reasonable, then it should be fine, but it's simply not capable of knocking the fillings out of your teeth.

Yes, you could splice into the sub's wiring in order to install your own toggle switch to turn it on & off, independent of the rest of the sound system.

Hello my name is Ryan, and I have been a basshead for 7 years.

I chose not to install my JL and eclipse stuff in my new car.
Instead I kept the stock HE and installed a JL 400x4, which runs my Boston Acoustic Pro speakers throughout. I received the VSE Bazooka yesterday in the mail and installed it quickly and easily despite the poor instructions and pictures.
It sounds absolutely amazing now. It slams for a bazooka tube, and it's a very tasteful design. I have it exactly half way at the "factory setting" and I think I may turn it down a bit. I got exactly what I was looking for with the VSE and my entire system now. I wanted to give people a perspective if they have been questioning the performance of the Bazooka. It's a great sounding sub if you're listening to your stereo for good sounding music at not such an obnoxious level. It's far more than any stock sub I have seen, and I've seen many.

credibility: I have 2 W7s with over 150,000 miles of deep cycle battery draining abuse in the last 4 years.

It's back in stock now. If not, order it on backorder. You'll receive quickly.
