if you're in a tC, just remove the fuse panel cover and put your hand up in there and push it out...

this car has crappy bass...my old '05 c230 had an awesome stock system and great bass...everyone would ask me if i had 10s.

i just want a little more thump outta the bass
this amp makes no sense. how can u bridge a 1 channel amp? 1 channel is only 1 channel there is no bridge to 600 watts rms make sure that is correct because that is impossible.

^^^ its just ridiculous cuz they talk about rms power so they think that it boost 600 rms, but the CANNOT be bridged. there is no way to bridge a one channel amp.

i wouldn't buy anything from this guy if was u http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-MRP-M450-...QQcmdZViewItem

dont risk regreting the purchase of this amp

i have just received my JL Audio 1000/1 Slash amp and i am thinking about 3 10w3v3 but many people say 3 for a hatchback is too much. ive never owned a hatchback b4. i used to have an 82 cutlass with 2 15"power hx2 fosgates pushed by 2 1000.1 power amps. loved the sound and couldnt get enough of it. what do u guys think about subs?

the reason i ask is because ive been hearing a lot about these elemental design subs n speakers. r they really that good. i can get the 10w3v3 for about 150-165 each.

I certainly agree that it's rediculous how they word things to give a slipped trick to buyers, ESPECIALLY people who aren't proficient in matching audio specs while thinking of wiring styles and impedance loads and such...

that 1000/1 on 2 eD 13Ov.2's would be insane... that's 2 12" subs... ported or sealed would both work great...

How good are those Subs? what kind of warranty do they offer? Because if I get them I will be pushing them hard n I don't want some defective stuff blowing on me. All I've heard about
ED is great stuff, but how long has everyone had their equipment, plus I live about 15 mi from the JL warehouse, but to 12 would fit nicer than 3- 10 so give me some more input guys.

What do u really think about ED?

3 year transferable warranty... as long as you're not sending a clipped signal or dropping under tuning freq. of a ported box with more than max power, you'll be good with them...

so u swear by these subs? cuz 300-325 would be nicer on my pocket then 500-550. i would be able to use this money for the dynamat, or battery, or component speakers, or wiring or u get the picture.

I'm telling you you won't be disappointed with them if that's what you're asking... as long as they're installed correctly and not ran too much over RMS, you can pound them ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT.....

Don't know what you're thinking about with Components, but The eDi6500s components are a little better (ear test in tC) than the JL XR650-CSi's and cheaper too ($250).... better low/mid response and clearer/smoother tweeter.... and not that it really means anything, but they're 150RMS per side... beefy!!

well with 1000 watts rms thats about 500 each. i know that these are underrated but i doubt that it would be by more than 200 watts. these subs say they hold wat, 600 each right? so they should be alright.

that is heavy weight stuff.

how about there amps. i still need to purchase one heavy 4 channel amp or 2 2 channel amps. i can go jl audio or ed. i think jl audio is the better choice for the amps. on the component systems i am tempted to believe u because there has been a few people saying the same thing. i want to be able to hear my music through the boom boom.

BTW thanks for all the info.

All of eD's products are really great... like many others, their amps are underrated as well... the Nine.4 can push ~150x2 @ 4ohm even though it's rated for 100x2@4ohm..

If you want the down and dirty on Elemental Design, go to www.icixsound.com and surf sround the forums there... ask some questions, whatever... it's a great place with plenty of information

Take it to a JL dealer or contact "JLTD" here on SL and you'll be able to get an address to send it to for a re-cone...
