while my set up isnt as wild and out as everyone elses. being a professional sound tech, me along with many of my coworkers were surprised on how good the sound sounded after just adding a sub and amp. this of course all happend after i did the "SSP" trick, turned up my treble to +5, SRT ON, and usually -5 - 0 on bass depending on the music being played. its a simple set up but its enough to satify my needs =].

i have a 4002T Audiobahn Amp, a single 12" Rockford Fosgate sub in a sealed box, and the stock head unit with a line out converter. hope this helps! =]

SRT is used for MP3 CDs, it kinda brings up the EQ alot (at least from my best guess and observations). so the bass will kick harder and the highs are more clearer. ASL is this little sensor thing that is in our cars that senses the areas ambience and helps the system maintain the same volume. i.e. if you are driving on the street at around 40mph with your windows open and you jump on the free way going about 60 with your windows open, it will notice the change and will make it seem the same volume. (i read it in the manual and the best idea that i can get from it) i personally dont use it, and honestly, i have no idea where it went in my settings, it used to be there when i got my car, but now about 2 months later.. it disappeared.. haah o well =]

Here's my Setup, Guys,

I got:

2-12" Rockford Fosgate Punch P-2
1- 1600 Watt Performance Tecknik Amp
1-Hi/Lo Converter
1-Sealed Box

This System sound Sooo Loud! It hits really hard when a good song with Bass is put on. Currently my tC is the Loudest (System) in my whole Team. " Team Sciontific powered by Hamer Toyota".
Just recently they tested my System to see how loud it hit. They performed the DB Test with a DB Meter and my car was Rated at 112DB. Making it the Loudest on my Team. YEEEEAAHH!! TEAM SCIONTIC!

I've used nothing but Zapco amps in both Scions(xB & tC). I've never had any problems.

Something's not right there... 2 12's and a 1600 watt amp should be hitting 135+ with the right install/enclosure... my 2 6.5" subs hit somewhere in the vicinity of 130

135 or more is really hard to get to. in the competitions there is different classes, yea there is people that hit 145-150 but they have spent thousands on their systems. another thing is that, that amp might say 1600 watts but those subs can't support 1600 watts, maybe peak wattage but not rms wattage. if im right those subs are 300 rms - 600 peak, if that but y would u want more if ur not going for competing.

a single 12" on 300 watts should hit over 112db easily. That's all my point is. 135 isn't that hard to hit, given the right enclosure and install... like I said, my 2 little 6.5" subs are in the vicinity of 130... I once had a $250 system ($100 used sub, $100 used amp, $50 ported box built by me) that hit upwards of 145... as stated, alot of it is install/enclosure
