You can get cheap HID's 4-4.3k for 230$ and is white or you can try to locate aftermarket bulbs thats the same K rating.

If your worried about getting pulled and dont want to spend on HID's then stick with the sylvania

you car is bcp whos car is that on ur avatar ?

Default HIR lights

try HIR lights 9011 9012 (assuming you take the 9006/9005 bulbs search at ebay. I have them in my 4runner whiter than stock, not as white as silverstars more light output than either stock or silverstars. If you want the HID look then your best bet is HID not silverstar.

Silverstars are about as far as you can DOT legally push it...

OSRAM is a great option too... essentiall sylvania in europe, but they have some great output lights as well, and some say better than US-Spec options.

You can get HID's without them being blue. Mine are pure white.

The glare off that oznium stuff is horrific. Want HIDs. Retrofit. HIDplanet.com

http://www.oznium.com/hid is the link you were alluding to Franken. Flowlighting is for underbody lighting.

Oops.

I don't think the glare is bad at all with mine. But, I put mine in projectors too.

I am using the Razo bulbs and love them. No legal issues and everyone swears they are HIDs.

I'm sure it's posted 100 times, but what part number are the Sylvania Silverstars for the tC?

I purchased the luminics hyper white bulbs. I was very pleased for about 4 months. Then my wires melted and the bulbs were useless. Now i have gone back to stock.

I wouldn't reccomend changing to after market light bulbs because they run at higher wattage and will eventually melt your wires like mine.

Your other, more expensive, option would be to get some HID's. Which obviously has its downfalls. 1) Expensive 2) Illegal.

Unless your willing to spend well over $200, you should keep your lights stock. They are not as bad (yellow) as some other cars.

Just my opinion. Good luck,

Greg

^^^ Yeah, my daughter learned that the hard way with her Mustang. Do you think the Sylvanias will do that too? I don't know the ratings on those...

I dont know at what wattage those bulbs run at, however i am almost positive its more than your stock bulbs. In other words, it will heat up and burn your wires, sooner or later. More likely sooner for your low beams than fog lights because of the cheap scion / toyota connection.

I'm not sure I've seen any connection (stock) that can handle a higher load. They match harnesses to what they put in - can't blame them for that.
I'm not complaining about the stockers - they are bright, and with the foglights, I'm pretty happy.

Im running modified Sylvania 9005s (Hi beams). I used an Xacto knife to remove the tabs inside the socket so they would fit the plug. I have had no harness problems in 4 months and have much more light output. With the tC eyelids there is no significant glare and I rarely get flashed. I also have the 9005s in my foglights also with no problems. I also wired the fogs to stay on with the high beams and the light output is insane.

Philips Bluevision bulbs are nice...but I like the stock/yellowish output better. The "hyperwhite" color sucks in fog.

Yes - ultra white is not good in fog - which is why many are yellow - I know that lots of "fog" lights today are white, and they aren't nearly as good in actual fog.
I think "cool" has won out over function.
