Default Big Three Upgrade

So I am doing the big three upgrade on my 08 tC, and I've succeeded in running a cable along side the existing cable from the negative battery terminal to the chassis. What I can't seem to find on the car (or in pictures on the internet) is where the engine grounds to the chassis and which alternator cables need to be replaced (or have more cable ran along side them)

Does anyone have any pictures of these things or could at least explain in detail where the engine ground is and which alternator cables are the ones to look for?

Thanks in advance!

Well I've managed to do the battery negative to the chassis, and the battery negative to the engine block. I can try and snap a picture of it at some point.

I guess what I'm still not sure of is where the engine block grounds to the chassis, and what exactly you are supposed to do about the aternator positive to the battery positive. Are you just supposed to run a wire from positive to positive or is there more to it than that?

Bump I guess. So has anyone actually done the alternator positive to battery positive upgrade? Is it nothing more than a wire from one to the other? Anyone??

...AND I still need to know if anyone has found where the ENGINE BLOCK grounds to the CHASSIS.

ive done it but dont have pics. What i did was battery negative ran 1/0 to the tranny/engine where theres a bolt like underneath the fuse box and then that went to the chassis. the alternator i ran 1/0 from the battery went back to the firewall and arround to the alternator

yeah bascially its just another wire from your + battery terminal to the + on the alt. Id fuse just to be safe.

You could do what you show in the pic but I think it would look tacky. The hardest part of the big 3 is making it look nice and routing wires

well you wouldnt want to run wire over the manifold..the heat wouldnt be a good thing for the wire

I'm going to go ahead and complete the alternator to battery lead this week.

The questions are:
Which size fuse should be used?
Should the fuse be located anywhere in particular along the wire (ie within a certain distance from the alternator or battery)?

Thanks guys!

this looks pretty cool guys. I've also wanted to do a complete grounding kit DIY style. I'll search on here for that but this is cool...watching!

No fuse eh? Well if your car isn't blowing up because of it and there's no danger then I'm not gonna do it either...
