Default Blue #74 LED for cubby hole *pics

Another useless mod that is going to depreciate my car according to someone *hint hint hehe... Hell this gives me ATLEAST 5 more whp!

Gotz it here:

http://superlumination.com/74.htm

I just used a pair of plyers VERY GENTLY pulled out the stock bulb. Much better I feel and matches the blue cathrodes perfectly.

i cant tell if you did or not, but grinding/sanding down the rounded tip of the LED will give you a nice even glow, rather thana beam.

did you get the LED or the Incandescent? is it size #74?

if you got the LED, does it fade with the console lights (like i've read the original incandescent does)?

slightly OT, does the wheel well/cupholder light kit fade with console lights?

sorry, for the spout of questions, but this is definitely something i'm going to do, and want to make sure i know what i'm getting into.

You must have small hands because after 20 minutes of trying to put the thing back in, I finally pulled the face off, reached behind and pulled the whole thing out. Took all of about 3 minutes that way.

pulling off panels? pliers? omg....

open the passenger's door and reach around behind the center console. there's a small hole right at the front of the footwell where the base of the console meets the firewall. from there, you'll feel a couple of wires. wiggle them and you should see the cubby bulb wiggle too. pull. out it comes. replace the bulb and push it back into place.

nothing needs to be removed, no tools required. way easy. it's the lego car!

1. It is LED blue... #74. They come in other colors but my LED cathrodes and cupholder lights are blue...

2.This cubby hole light DOES NOT fade. It doesn't fade to begin with. It is either on, or off.

3.the cathrodes are an on/off button. There is no fading with the underdash/cupholder lights.

ANYTHING is better then the cheap yellow incadescent light already stock.

This mod cost all but $8.00USD and 3 days to ship. He ships fast.

Hey I have been looking at superbrightleds.com for awhile and I think I might order some stuff. I have a question though... In the post above he ordered 2 wedge #194 size bulbs(Blue, and a white) Aren't the parking lights 194? Would those work and would they make the headlight housing glow blue? I have some little plastic ones now that are blue but when they are turned on they are white. How do ppl make them glow?

The parking bulbs are 194 I think, but they would use a 6 LED style. the bulbs I have are 4 LED. If you got blue LED it would deff glow blue. I think the part# on superbrightleds would be WLED-B6 (194) for the parking lights.
