Default Both Cig lighters out (the one in the armrest as well) NEED HELP

Both of my power outlets (cigarette lighter type) are out. I switched the Cigarette lighter Fuse (Which was bad) and still neither work. Is it another fuse for the one in the armrest? Please help.

This happened to me already for about 6 times. I tried all the research and putting lower fuse (from 15, 10, 7.5 amp). But they only work for few days. If you are lucky, they work for about 2 weeks to three weeks max. So what I did is I replaced the fuse for the cig lighter the same fuse (15 amp low profile). Then for the outlet, instead of 15 amp low profile fuse, I upgrade it to 20 amp low profile fuse. So far the fuses never blew ever. It has been a month so far. You can get these fuses at Autozone.

The fuse location is at the driver side, under the steering. Not literally under the steering, but close to where the hatch you open the hood.

..........

circuits are rated to handle a certain amount of amperage..

overriding that by stupidly placing a higher rated fuse in the circuit than what was meant to be in there..

is frankly not only stupid.. but DANGEROUS.
we're talking about melting stuff and starting fires here.

just be glad they aren't using a .22 gauge bullet as a fuse
