Haha, yea I thought it would be a while too, but I decided that since I have the money to do it, I should get it done ASAP before I go back to school because I won't be able to do it til summer otherwise. Or spring break maybe, but I'd like to get it done while I've got time now.

And I'm gonna sell a few things I don't use to offset this so I won't really lose a whole lot on it. At least I don't think so

Not to mention, this is the first time I'll be buying something for MYSELF in 2 years lol... all of my other cash has gone straight to my girlfriend in terms of gifts and going out all the time. I figured, while I have the money, I may as well spend some on something I really want

Woodlawn will get back to you but it might take a day or 2. I did get a design picture from them when I was considering a single 8" L7 sub.

Here is what he gave me:

Interchangeable ports one for SQ at 33hz and the other for SPL at 42Hz.
12"x12"x30"

Give woodlawn a call they have their number listed on their website.

IF, big IF, IF money isn't to much of a concern head over to http://www.hexibase.com

Wow I like the idea of port inserts, but that must have been an expensive one huh?

I'm looking to stay around $100, preferably less lol... doesn't have to be carpeted or anything, just a damn box! lol

nice those guys look to do some good work. interchangeable ports are cool. deff see what they can do. if they can go that crazy then they should be able to do a simple box like you need w/o a problem.

Excellent point, I'll have to give them a call after the new year. I've sent an email, but no response yet... I'll be patient though.

yea deff give them or fishercustoms a try. woodlawn seems to know what they are doing from the looks of that drawing though. when you get into changing ports out like that things get a bit complicated.

The problem is, W:H ratio of slot ports shouldn't exceed 9:1. You should be able to locate more info on it by searching, but I'm not certain because I haven't looked.

i have heard of a 1:8 ratio rule, but i have also heard that it wasn't a huge deal and not to pay so much attention to it. he has a box being made for him thats sounds very good so we'll see what happens.
