Default Car Audio Suggestions:JVC, PIO..? preamp output, voltage?

Hi guys... its time to upgrade my HU.

I want a Double Din HU,7 inch, i need it for watching videos (dvd and divx) listening mp3 ( from dvd, not from ipod) no GPS...

the one which i really like is the

JVC KW-AVX710
looks really nice, 7 inch, plays dvd, divx, mp3 and its cheap.. under $350!!!

there is an other one:

jvc kw-adv790
costs almost the same.. still under 400, but i have no idea whats the difference between the two.

the only problem is the preamp voltage which is only 2.5V and only 1 pair of output.
Not really sure if its good for me. i dont have any amp all i have is the stock front and rear speakers and i want to keep it that way, maybe later get a single sub with a smaller amp

the JVC KW-AVX800 has 3 output( 5V!) but its almost 500.

Panasonic CQ-VW100U under 400, screen is 7 inch, plays divx and 3 pair output.

plus my other problem is that i dont have the stock bracket for the HU. i dont even know how to put the DD HU in there.

Well, what are you planning to do for the rest of the system, amps, speakers, additional processors? If you're only audio concern is stereo, then 2 outputs can be adequate, depending on what you do downstream. Same for the output voltage, while higher is better, 2.5v can be more than enough if you're not into SQ competition.

Now if you want 5.1 audio to go with the movies in-car, and/or you plan to compete in sound or show, then you'd certainly want to look at more capable HUs. Nothing wrong with staying within your budget and going with one of the units you listed, it simply depends on what your goal is for the complete system.

most of the divx movies are not 5.1
and most of the dvd's are music dvds..
im not expecting better sound with this HU. for that i would need to upgrade my stock speakers. but thats not important now.

i want to upgrade my HU to a better one then put a sub in there.. but i dont know if a 2 channel output HU is gonna be good for this.
and what about the bracket for the HU?

Yes, it'll be fine for your intended use. Powering the stock speakers with the HU's internal power, then using the 2 RCA outputs to an amp for the sub. The RCAs are full-range outputs and the low-pass filter built into the amp will ensure the sub only produces the bass.

oh so thats why it has 50wattx4 channel and a 2channel preamp output.

so the speakers will be connected to the 50wattx4 channel and the amp to the preamped output.
