Default Cathodes vs. Piranha Bar

Hey u guys. . .I currently own a pair of red cold cathodes from oznium.com for under the dash, but they're not nearly as bright as i want them to be. I know that ozniums lights are bright but these red ones aren't cutting it for me. I was also looking to switch to blue and was wondering whether I should buy two piranha bars to replace the cathode tubes if those would be any brighter. . .

I am interested as well. I was just about to buy the white cathode tubes when I came across your post. Red should be not as bright as other colors (I would think), but what do you mean by "not bright enough for you"? Do you have any pictures to show the brightness you have?

If I'm not mistaken, the piranha bars are more expensive, but brighter. If there is a significant difference, I might have to go with those. Keep us updated.

Cathodes = less expensive, good color, less brightness

Pirana bar = more expensive, great color, very bright, harder to mount.

Since you want to put the lights under the dash, i would suggest Oznium flexible leds, those are bright and they are very pliable. IMO i think the pirana bar would be harder to mount and install under the dash, and it would probably be very bulky.

So you are saying the flex strips are brighter than the cathodes?

Thanks for all the input guys. . .My camera is dead right now and charging so ill post pics asap. but to answer your question trrocks03, the brightness of the tubes is hardly enough to fully illuminate the footpedal area, but im thinking that it is just the red color because Ive seen it in blue and it looks significantly brighter

Do you know if the million color flexible LEDs can be programed to show single colors at different times rather than alternate through all of the colors?

from oznium website: "The million color LED strips have red, blue, and green LEDs. They come with a tiny controller which automatically fades through millions of colors. At this time, you can't pause or set the color. It is all automatic. But we're working on a new controller that will give you more control. Buy these today, and you can easily upgrade to a new controller in the future."

soo im gonna say no to your question lol
