Haha, I only strangle girls when I know they like it.
But no, the only blood I got on my pillows was from my head. Had a weird benign growth on my head that ruptured while I was sleeping and drunk. It refused to clot and thus I woke up in a pool of blood. It was a bloody mess. I have photos too... Lets just say it was an interesting 24 hours...

But yeah, you're gonna want to keep the sunroof open at all times and keep the car ventilated. When bleach reacts with organic material (skin, dirt, sweat, etc.) it can make chloroform. That's really bad. Especially when you are driving.

In the water solution the ionic interaction isn't strong enough to form a precipitate. It is a reversible reaction. The two do react, then they just dissolve again. It is in equilibrium in the water. If you were to boil out all the water, the sodium hypochlorate would reform. Notice what water is made of, H2O. All that water (and thus hydrogen) for the hypoclorate ions to bind/interact with versus the sodium ions. Thus the concentration of hypochloric acid will be far greater. Overall, yes the pH would be basic, however the bleaching agent is still the acid not the sodium hydroxide. If it were, people would just use sodium hydroxide and not "bleach."
I am no scientist--but it is going to take the color out AND probably eat a hole in the fabric as well..............

why is it that evertone tries to "one up" eachother? who cares what bleach is made of, nobody asked if it was an acid or a base. just answer the dudes question and get on with it.

that is all
