alot of VW guys cut and rethread their shifters. never heard anything bad happen as a result

i cut about 3.5 in off. not much more to cut

I had mine cutbefore I got my Doc I short shifter with 3 inch reduction. Honestly i cant tell any difference other than the new ones stiffer.
