i'm not sure about that model in particular but many of them can be bypassed simply by grounding the brake wire

On my Kenwood I just found a bolt connected to the chasis and secured it to that and it worked as a ground for me.

its easier to bypass the older units. but "usually" the unit is looking for a signal from you brake. and that signal is only a 12v signal so just hook up a 12v constant to a switch and the switch to the unit . not 12v to unit because some units look for a signalbreaksignal kinda deal. just find out what kinda signal it needs and supply it.
and grounding it might work to like ankryth said

ground it to... uhm.. ground? (like.. the chassis?)

more older units just use that safety feature... newer ones have it built into the software and are a little bit more difficult to bypass.

yeah the manual says it has to be connected to the parking brake mechanism and that i shouldnt just ground it, So im thinking ground it might make it work. but when i get the chance i'll scan the diagram on wiring to see if anyone can help. it looks like a wire is hooked up to the e-brake

Just twist the parking break wire in with the main groiund for the head unit and it will work just fine, it will think the parking break is forever on lol

I WENT THROUGH THE SAME TROUBLE... I HAVE A DUAL AS WELL. GROUND THE UNIT. IF IT DOESENT WORK, PUSH THE RESET BUTTON AND YOU WILL BE GOOD. IF YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY YOU WILL HAVE RESET THE UNIT AGAIN.

I also have a reverse wire thats supposed to be hooked up to the reverse lamp, im suggesting for the reverse camera, can i just ground that too? looks like the wire diagram for my unit the brake and reverse wires are supposed to be hooked to get a signal from the parking brake light and reverse light so im gonna try to ground them both to a switch then the chassis, as long as the weather is nice here in maine.

if you dont have a back up camera hooked up then there is no need to ground the backup camera wire, just leave it alone. ground the e-break wire and that should make it play when your driving

hummm.. seems grounding it to the chassis doesnt work and hooking it up to the units constant 12v doesnt work and hooking it to the 12v for the cig lighter doesnt work either. so now i dont know what else to do but wonder how its supposed to be hooked up to the e-brake. help anyone? thanks.
