The definitive In-Dash DVD player picture thread
Being one who is in the market for a new In-Dash DVD Player, I'm confronted with a good amount of decisions on which brand to go with. I know that, as some of you are the same way, that my decision will be partially based on how the unit LOOKS. ie: menus, iPod interface, DVD playback quality, NAV screens, backgrounds... So, I think this would be a good thread for people to post QUALITY pictures of their In-Dash DVD HU, note: We only need one good post for each brand/model.
I'd like to direct you to a thread made by Brucefan a while back which gave me the inspiration for this thread. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=119145
In his thread, he posted good, quality pictures of different screens of the Pioneer AVH-6800DVD, and it was very helpful in getting an idea of how the thing as a whole looks.
So, here's what would be cool if we could get:
A post containing the brand name/model of the HU, and if you're feeling generous, a price at which you got yours at
Then, in each post, contain a picture of:
-Main menu screen
-Different backgrounds available
-Radio screen
-CD screen
-iPod interface (screen showing song being played, search options)
-Satelite Radio screen (showing how songs are listed)
-Nav screens
-Equalizer options (If your headunit has such ability)
-Bluetooth interface
-A shot or two of a DVD being played
-A shot of the unit ready for disc insertion
Granted, I know this is asking for a lot, and it might take a while to compile the many different models of In-Dash DVD players that are out there, depending on the generosity of you Scionlife members However, I feel this would be a good thing to have, to be able to compare and contrast a wide variety of Headunits all in one thread.
Here's some popular brands/models that I think should be included in a thread like this, as they are often talked about here in this forum
Pioneer AVH-6800DVD: Brucefan
Pioneer Avic-Z1
Pioneer Avic-D1
Pioneer Avic-D2
Kenwood DDX7017
Kenwood DDX6019: iScion
Kenwood Excelon DDX8017: krdshrk (awaiting more pics)
Alpine IVA-W200: L337Biker (but would still like more pics!!)
JVC KW-AVX706
Panasonic CQ-VD6503U
Eclipse AVN5435
Eclipse AVN5500
Eclipse AVN6600
Eclipse AVN5495
Infill G3: Harmonic_tc
Hope we can get this thing rolling! And we should be able to, as long as those who have one of those models (that's not already been posted) are gracious enough to take 15 mins to go snap some pics of something they should be proud to show off!

No one has anything to contribute yet?
Does anyone even think this is a good idea for a thread like this? lol
I just know I've seen plenty of posts of "Can I get a pic of how the text looks on the iPod/Satelite radio screen?" or "What kind of backgrounds are there?" or "Can you post a pic of the *whatever* screen?" and I think this could be a great spot to compile all the pictures of the different brands/models of In Dash DVD players

Here are pics of my IVA-W200 I installed :D
Fun part was setting it back far enough for the door to still operate.
When the LCD flips out to insert a disc, it clears the bottom of the opening for the deck by about 2 mm

Kenwood Excelon DDX8017 - 6.5" Screen
Retails for $1600, I bought it for $1k used.
I can't take any new photos as of right now (Camera's broken) but here's what I have.
CD/DVD Play Screen:
Screensaver:
DVD Playback:
HU Open:
I can take pics of the Equalizer options, different backgrounds (Light, Ring, Dolphin, Aurora, and Prism), and the menus (there are tons)... There is no Bluetooth interface on the 8017, I don't have the KCA-iP500 iPod interface, which is required for iPod use...
I don't have Nav yet either, but as soon as I do I'll post up.
And yes...... the door closes..... but only because I (well, IceNine did) re-drilled the holes on the mounting brackets.
