DEI Viper 5900 issues
I saw that you are a dei installer,
I just got sort-of done installing an alarm & remote start on my car. Its a manual '06 tC.
First off, I bypassed the clutch and I use a magentic switch on the shifter for a neutral safety. Both of tested and work.
Everything on the alarm works like a beauty aside the remote start.
It acts like its starting becuase the gauges sweep and the parking lights flash and all, but theres no crank, just a "humm" really.
My first thought was not enoug voltage, but the fuses are all good.
for the satellite,
I ran two 8 gauge wires directly from the battery to the satellite for the needed voltage. I cut the thick black starter wire and wired it correctly because the car will crank over with a key.
I tapped the first and second ignition wires with the pink and the pink/white wires as made for.
I ran a relay for the second ignition wire and I know its working becuase without it being connected, the gauges didnt sweep.
I also install the 556uw bypass but it shouldnt be the issue because even with the real key in the ignition, it doesnt start. I verified all the wiring. One other thing is when I try the valet mode where you can leave the car running and remove the key, it doesnt recognize the car is running and acts like its going to start because the lights blink.
The tach was learned fine though. as the led lights up solid when the method of learning the tach is executed.
Any thoughts?

you may not have the correct wire in the OBD2 connector under the dash, it should be a black wire in pin 9 I believe. Thats where I got my tach signal from and it works flawless. Also, check to see if there is a button on the brain to learn the tach signal.

Okay theres two connectors below the dash, One is white and directly below the fuse box. I used the black wire from there but I think the issue is that the ttap i used is too large of gauge and didnt make a solid connection.
The other connector i see has a blue lid on it. I havent checked the wires there, but isnt that the wrong one?
