Default Diode isolate door locks?

ive heard of it but been looking on the12volts.com and am haveing a hard time which wiring system we have itf its 3 wire or 4 or 5 or single. and do i need to diode isolate the door locks with a zenesis alarm that has remote start and if so what ohm diodes do i need?

from what i read on the 12volts forum was at radio shack it was model number 275-1653. or its any 1N4001 throught 1N4004 diode. Anyides if this is right for our car

sure thing. trying to get 2 projects coordinated at the same time. So i will when i get it in. Im trying to finish up my fiberglass sub enclousure and amp rack
