Does anyone know or have first hand experience that the w205 supports video through the iPod or is it just music?

not through the i pod jack... you will need to get the i pod cable that has the 3 av jacks (yellow, red, white) and plug it into the av in jacks... that about it...

So that means I won't be able to control the video playback through the head unit (pause, rewind etc...) right? Also that means I won't be able to control the music functions either?

think about it - what part of the AV wires would let you control it with the HU.

If you do the video playback, it will be all through the Ipod. If you want to control music through the HU, plug it in to the IPOD cable

They have the video ipod cable for 50-80 or get the normal Ipod cable no video for 20.
So depending what module you get is what will be suported. The audio will work for audio only on any of the ipods
