Do any of you guys have any idea why the "open door" light would come one when all the doors are closed? I noticed the other day my car is starting to do this. It turns on the dome lights and is really annoying when I'm driving a night. First time I noticed I pulled over to make sure the doors and hatch were closed all the way and they were but it still kept doing it. A fuse maybe?

 

sounds like the door switch is sticking or faulty. the switch is the black rubber coated switch about 1/4 up from the bottom of the door opening. Push on it, and see if the dome lights turn on-off. I had that in another car and the switch was faulty. For awhile manually moving it back n forth worked out the dirt/gunk and helped it, til I had to finally replace it. I've never seen the hatch turn the dome lights on, unless I've not been paying attention all these years it's the doors that turn the dome on-off.

 

Ya I don't think the hatch had anything to do with it. I just checked it to be sure. Thanks for the info though! It's buggin the sh*t outta me. I'll take a look at the switch and see if I can get a replacement or fix it. Thanks!
