Dynamat to block out exhaust drone????
I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it?? I don't really want to put a resonator on because it compromises performance and I just bought a beautiful new midpipe and would hate to see it cut into. has anyone done this and did it work pretty well??? Thanks for any help!!

so a resonator compromises performance? I know a cat converter will but I dont think a resonator will since its just a thicker pipe with same inner diameter (I had a 2.5" resonator) so I dont think there is a flow restriction..

Damn. And that midpipe was so pretty!! OH well. Resonator here we come. OH btw I heard that baffled resonators do lose horsepower. They go through something and aren't free flowing. At least that's what I heard.

I had my aero AR25 resonator just the other day and it made a good diffrence in sound on my tsudo N1, I had a nice looking midpipe too and its still nice with two resonators on.. The one I have is free flowing just straight 2.5 and just drilled holes on the inside piping..

this is a funny thread...
You spent money on an exhaust to make your car "faster" but then the noise bothers you so you are looking into adding weight via dynamat which will likely eliminate the benefit of the exhaust and spending even more money...seems like a lot of work and money for nothing.
