Putting two layers of RAAMmat over the more crucial areas isn't a bad idea. Quality wise, it's as good if not better than Dynamat. I believe they're both made from the same compound

pretty much any butyl based product will be acceptable. just stay away from any asphault type.

I used edead on the floors and damplifier on the doors.
Spend the extra and go with Damplifier.

You can tell by just the looks and the feel that damplifer is better. It alot pricey-er but i think its worth it.

I've decidied to go with raammat. rick from raamaudio has been super nice and is helping me out. its cheaper than the others and did pretty good in the comparison tests... He already told me how much to get of it and the ensolite (they've done a few tc's)so its being ordered at the end of the week

I just bought some stuff from Raam... how much did he tell you to get? I only bought one roll of raammat, 3 yards of ensolite, and one can of the spray goodness, I hope its enough to do my rear panels and seat area...

he told me 2 rolls of raammat, 7 yards of ensolite, and 3 cans of adhesive... but that was to do a good job on the entire car...

cool, I'll probably be able to get a decent amount done. I've got the panels off because of amp installation so at least that will get covered, hopefully I can hit the inside of the doors as well...

And since this thread was about deadening... I've used dynamat extreme and wasn't too happy with it... Plus it didn't hold up to high temps very well and ended up squeezing up everywhere and making a mess.

i spoke to chris at elemental designs and he recomended for a good job to do my trunk area would be 60 sq. ft. Now i have a question between these 2 deadening products of theirs, the eDead v1SE² and the eDead v1², is one better than the other, i think i purchased the v1² to do my front doors and rear panels, but not yet have installed it..did i mess up with getting the v1², and should have gotten the
v1SE², or am i ok

the v1SE² is simply a thicker version of the v1². I used around 60sqft in the truck of v1², but make sure you have alot for the quarter panels, those things really need the sound deadening.

If you gut your car and drive around, the rear wheel wells right behind the rear seats will also drive you insane. I've got 3 layers of SE on them but need to get a layer of V4 since it's just a constant relatively high pitched SHHWWHEHHEHWHWEHWHWHWWWSS now.
