my last email from eD (2/13) said replacement/new boxes had been cut, and were being assembled as he wrote the email. return labels will be enclosed with the replacement boxes, so, i guess we just put our "old" ones in that box and hoof it down to a ups office (or call for a pickup?)
and as long as they were right in the middle of carving up those new boxes, i had a 'lil special request put in for mine ...
'n don't forget.. spread a 'lil VD today

This is why I am doing my entire system through these guys. I built my own enclosure, but everything else will be through eD. My SQ-10 is in my garage and I will be driving over to their shop as soon as the NINe.4's come in. Then, this spring, I will be getting a set of their components. I have never seen a company that cares for their customers the way Elemental does. They could be charging a lot more money for their products, they could say "screw you if your box doesn't fit", they could offer limited or costly tech support........but they don't. They are out there to make the best product for the best price and make their customers happy.
Thank you Elemental Designs!

Wait a minute.....
You mean to say that a company had a slight goof....and is willing to fix it without a major hassle?
Yeah. Im sold. When my tax check came in I was going to buy one of these boxes and use my old sub/amps/components. They are all still going strong but getting old. But when you have a company that will rebuild, reship, and ADMIT that they goofed up over just a 1/2" that most companies I have delt with would say "Eh...just work with it a little - I'll fit"
You eD guys are awsome. Expect a nice order from me in the comming weeks.

Before everyone freaks out...no one has been called/e-mailed. We have a ribbon cutting ceremony today and I just haven't had time to get through them yet.
Hopefully this afternoon I can get to them all. Yes...I know who everyone that got one that doesn't fit is...the joys of learning SQL

Get some 1/4-20 t-nuts and 1/4-20 x 1 1/4 (or 1 1/2) machine screws - then you drill about a 7/16 hole where the mounting holes are and tap in the t-nuts from the inside of the box (the t-nuts have a shaft that'll fit in the hole you drilled and will have spikes that drive into the wood to hold them in place).... then you lay your subwoofer in and screw the machine screws into the t-nuts..... this way you can remove and install the sub as many times as needed with less risk of buggering up the wood with drywall screws...
