Yeah I have the same question. Does this gray wire connect to the foglight switch? Does anyone have a clear picture? Maybe with idiot proof arrows or something. On my last car all i had to do was clip a wire and splice it to another. Same I'm guessing but this is a confusing post. I don't want to snip the wrong wire.

when you pull the fog light relay out and look at the wires going into the plug, the gray wire feeding the relay is what you want. Snip that as it is the wire that toggles the relay over to turn on the fogs when the low beams are on. Then take the relay socket end of that wire and connect it to the brown wire shown above in the pictures to supply power to toggle the relay when the parking lights are on.

Hey Guys,

I know this thread is old but Im planning on doing this mod when I get home from work. I looked a my car and found the harness (not the brown wire itself) that I tap the grey wire into.

My problem is - where the heck is this grey wire?!

Can anyone point it out specifically on this picture (arrows or something)? That would be great!

I plan on installing HID's in my fogs. Should i worry about anything w/ this parkinglight/fog mod? could it handle the extra amps? or should i just get an entirely different switch?

I have my fogs wired to turn on without headlights following the steps in this thread and my fogs don't flash when locking/unlocking even with the button "on".

I just did this, and it's definitely a great, quick mod. Gives the car a real bad ___ look with just the fogs on. The only difficult part is trying to clip those wires; there's not a lot of play in the harness, and there's not a lot of room to get your hands in there!

hm that sounds odd. i dont know if u connected an extra power wire from somewhere. or what.

When u say click...do u mean pushing in the OEM fog button?
