typically its about 8 sq ft per door. with the rear pannels its just a big old sheet of sheetmetal so theres a lot of open space there.

i'd go with 40 ft and do 8 per front and 12 per rear. that should be plenty

thanks a bunch i know that place very well, and as for the install got any suggestions, i was thinking on sound advice, because a friend of mine had his system put together by them, and it came out pretty good....i did not mean to intentionly copy your avitar, i was browsing the internet and this was an ebay picture used to sell a part of the tc, and just realized it was the same as yours, i could change it if you like

I have the upgraded Pioneer speakers (that came with the RS2) and they were decent when i had the stock sub in there. Since i have my L5 in, i notice the midrange of the Pioneers is nowhere near good. So sometime in the future ill be switching out to a much higher quality speaker thats able to give me a MUCH fuller midrange

Pioneer is a HUGE speaker manufacturer. The OEM Scion speakers are very different from the aftermarket line...

That's not to say that there aren't "better" speakers, but for his system design goals (location, budget, processing ability, etc.), I feel these are almost impossible to beat.

I have a set of infinity kappas in the doors in my other car and am amazed at the sound clarity from them.........price was not bad either....I put pioneers in the back and not so happy that I did not spend a bit more to get the infinitys for it as well.......

basically just want to ask two questions, since i went with the Pioneer 6.5 2-Way Coaxial Speakers - (TS-D161R), for my door panels, and rear. if i for some reason in the future decided to add an amplifier will this set up still be ok to do that, i really have no plans for it, just thinking in terms of what if. and the second question is i believe my cars door panel factory speakerset up also has a tweeter on the door hanle, is it possible to upgrade these also, if so any recomendations would be helpfull..thanks

Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT.

Pioneer 6.5 2-Way Coaxial Speakers - (TS-D161R) - Front door panels & rear.

i was thinking on adding the pioneer TS-T15 3/4" component soft dome tweeters to my front door panels, along with my already installed pioneer TS-D161R 6.5" 2-way 260W speakers, just like to get an opinion on this idea..
