First tC with PINK LEDs? -56k_beware-
Well, like the title says I think I'm the first one to do a pink LED swap on a tC. I've had the gauge done back in late march but now i have EVERY amber led swapped to pink (but the ambers for the a/c select). I did HOURS upon HOURS of researching to find cheap pink smds. Apparently only the UK and China make them. ::shrug:: By the way, this is on my girlfriend's car.
To the guys on the forums, would you be embarrassed being caught in this? I take the lei down when i drive, but i still wonder.
Next few pics were dark so i had to adjust the brightness and color a bit...sorry.
^Had to make my own bulb to make the shifter light pink
^Drawing of how I made the bulb. (dremel, resistor, led, solder, plastic, electrical tape)
^had to cut the cubby light to make my own led set up.
^rear light
^superwhite map lights and a black light led bulb for the middle.
^HVAC board w/ engineer's brightness fix
^radio board
^radio lcd led...instead of a 3mm, i made my own again.
^back of the radio lcd led solder points
^the blacklight made the leds and circuit board look awesome, but the camera didn't do it justice.

It's on a Flint Mica. You'll see it driving around Orlando. I'm trying to get her to go with me to your (RedneckwithanxB) Thursday night meets.
And I got them off of ebay.uk...however, the person is taking a break for the summer. So i think the only way to get them now is to MASS order them from a company in china. I had the link somewhere, i'll have to look again.

Looks very nice. My fiance is planning on getting an xA in the next couple of months and wants to do a pink and green theme on a SSM. I will definately have to get the information on the pink LEDs from you when we start work on her car.

haha thanks everyone and thanks skeletor. I'm just lucky she'll let me do this...it's a nice get-away from life. Well until she walks up behind me wondering when we could leave since I do all the modding at my brother-in-law's house, cause i don't trust the thugs in my apartment complex one bit. As soon as they would see how easy the tC disassembles...they'd be all over it.
I think the pink would look better on a white or black car the most. but pink is the new black, haha.

whereas technically you are the first person to actually install pink leds (which i had difficulty finding cheap ones)
you are not the first person to have pink.. *cough*.. lightish red.
yes.. i am a guy.. and i have had nothing but great comments (or questionable comments) (and this is MY car)... there's just something with the color that has helped me attract girls too.. 
very good pics as well. opened up radio shot looks nice... lets me see how many i need and such....

haha fine...then first to have the radio pink? haha...and cubby hole/shifter light. 
but yeah the pink cellophane works. wouldn't it melt in like Florida heat though?
As long as i'm not the only guy driving in a pink lighted tC.
I like the amber needles...though i was thinking about redoing the needles pink. We'll see one day!

you did a great job though.. lemme know when you find that link.. i guess i'll look more into it now.but yeah.. you're not the only guy with a lightish red setup
i was gonna do my needles purple.. but haven't had time to go about it yet. we'll see.

Haha, i'm going to have to rewatch that movie. i don't remember that line. Luckily it's my girlfriend's car...though I still drive it when we go out...
