well, i cant help you there. I/passengers don't drink or eat anything in my car, so I never thought about that. I do carry 2 gatorade bottles of water though, but that's for showing off the LED's as seen in my pictures above.

the factory drills holes from the side. one led for each cupholder.. and there is a plastic cap that goes in there... the led is inserted on the inside behind it.

god, i cant remember. I used mandos's interior gutting DIY. i know you have to take the cargo clip off. After that i think u just pull and the white pop clips will undo themselves, but double check in his DIY to make sure.

as for the LED's, i got the prewired led's over @ oznium.com and wired them all in parallel

The site looks great for buying what you need to Light up your car. You got me wanting to do a self install now. My only problem is that i have never doen any electrical work before. Dont really know how to attach the wires and how to get them wired to the battery, or where to hook up the fuse. The disassembly of the car and hole driling for the LEDs is the easy part for me.

Anyone got any other ideas for a place to install strobe lights on the interior, i was thinking of inside the left and right airvents, then saw a post earlier suggesting an instalation in the foot wells?? if anyone has installed stobes and you please post some pics, (guess this might be hard to take a picture casue you'll have to catch it when flash of the strobe goes....

Thanks,

i think under the dash for the front footwells and under the front seats to strobe the rear footwells would be cool.

This is how toyota does it. no condensation worries from drinks. it's a few millimeters above the bottom and the led is capped from the inside with a clear lens. no silicone treatment, but it is snug, and i think it's good unless you've good hurricane katrina in there.

find out what fuse turns on and off when you put your key in and out of the ignition (take the fuse cover off ....by where the left drivers leg would be). If you have a spare LED for 12volt or something that can turn on w/ 12volts.

a couple of ways to do it. fuse box, or tap the cig lead, or accessory lead behind radio.
here are some good links with diy's;

that must have been a pain in the a$$ to do the back cup holders. i've been wanting to put leds in the back but it seemed too painful and i got lazy. so far i've done: white cathodes under each footwell including the back seats, white leds in each vent and white leds for the cupholders.

i have about 8 blue leds leftover (from my friend), 6 leftover white leds, 5 white cathodes left ... any suggestions anyone? i was thinking about trying to light up the upper half of the car w/ the 8 blue leds and do under the hood and inside the trunk for the white cathodes. but where else for the remaining 6 white leds?
