is LED brighter than regular bulb? and which one last longer?

hardest thing i've done yet on the car. cant use the switch or the bulb will fall out, but i love the way it looks

searching this site i have learned not to get the LED kit from the dealership, only 4 leds and way too much money.
i guess randode is the best place.
i just wanted to ask for opinions, my car is all black, exterior/interior. which would suit it better, red or blue?
i'm leaning towards red.
and as far as lighting everything, including the license plate is it legal? like some stupid cop wont pull me over and tell me i cant have red lights over the plate?

well OZNIUM.COM will have the best prices and randode is expensive. And if you use an LED in your licence plate holder, it is illegal (in NY at least) and a cop may pull you over if he's having a bad day.

I know it a DIY thing. But you can purchase items from OZNIUM.COM for way cheaper than randode.

 

actually what ive been reading on SL, is that here in cali the led in the license plate is only illegal if its a color other than white-ish ( or stock orange ofcourse ). kinda like the one the is 350 is sportting.

 

i know this thread is kinda old but will led bulbs from superbright still turn on and off gradually like oem bulbs when you lock and unlock your car???

 

If you use them in the dome lights, yes they will. They are gradual on, gradual off with the lock and unlock.

Any of the other locations (outside of the footwells here) will be just on/off, but the domes fade in and out.
