Nine.2X amp = $265
11Ov.2 sub = $175
Box w/carpet = $85 (sealed enclosure, these eD subs seem to really like small spaces)
You'd also need a wiring kit, speaker wire, and the beloved LOC.

Now with eD you do get a discount for making packages, so the total price would probably be alot lower.
You're also forgetting a very important fact, Scionlife members get special discounts just for being a forum member... You'd be looking at:

11Ov.2 = $120
Nine.2x = $225

step up to the 13Ov.2 for only $15 more and it'll be very pleasing!!!

Talk to mandos on here about pricing and whatnot..

It doesn't matter if your opinion or expectation is different from others, it's still possible for you to get what YOU want, which is what's important.

Any good car audio shop will have some demo cars (a show car, employee cars, and possibly customer cars) that you can listen to. I suggest you do so, until you find one that's to your liking, then you can discuss with the shop, how they would go about getting you the same performance in your tC.

If you're not certain, don't get in a hurry, take your time to avoid blowing money on something you aren't pleased with.

Does anyone know if I'd get an improvement in SQ if I replaced the front speakers with the eDi 6500s, but still using the stock head unit? Or is does the head unit bog the sound down a lot? I'm thinking that with the support of better speakers the sub wouldn't need to play as large a role. With the package deal I could get a NINe.4, an 11Kv.2, and the eDi6500s for $655 - hopefully less including the scionlife membership (I'm not a premium member yet though).

^^ talk to mandos on here or give them a call and ask for Chris (phone #'s on their website). You'll get the discount just for having a username on SL...

As long as you have an amp on the 6500's, they should work well but would probably work better with an aftermarket HU, but who's to say you can't just do that for now and get a HU later on?

Just read mandos' reply . . . it's a massive discount, basically $435 for 6500s, NINe.4, and 11Kv.2 (not counting enclosure, LOC, shipping).
