1. they are mounted to stock points
2. you have to mount harnesses 90 or 60 degrees
3. dont post unless you know what your talking about, there would be no problem passing tech at SCCA
it amazes me that people post up with no clue what they are talking about
i survived a 60 mph impact with that setup in my old SCCA car and had no back injury like you claim only way to compress your spine is when people mount to the front stock seat bolts with no harness bar to kick it out
really, stop posting bad info
do you know what a harness bar is even used for?

heh... someone has an issue with me and wants to pick a fight.
Any harness should ALWAYS pull from a point HIGHER than your shoulders. That is why your stock belts mount higher than your shoulders. A hard enough impact with the mounting points down low like that pulls you downward towards the seat, not back into the seat. This causes a high risk of spinal compression.
You can whine, snivel, throw what you think are "smart" comebacks.. but you are doing nothing more but spouting off. Try again another time...

wait for it... here comes more about how he is a super duper builder and speed racer incarnate... and I am a big idiot who doesnt know anything .... it always follows a little kiddie reply like the first one he made
In my experience, those that know will post a valid argument.. those that like to talk internet smack and are armchair builders and bench racers come out with guns blazing and throwing insults. It isnt hard to see one from the other. And there are a few little kids on here who have taken great offense to some of us in the past, and insist on coming back and pitching little fits to say we dont know anything.. this doesnt sound any different.
And just for the record.. a VALID and ADULT argument would have been:
But with them connected further back rather than directly behind the seat, they are closer to 90 degrees, thus the portion of the force in the downard direction (spinal compressing) is much less.
And the reply to that would be:
That is correct, but you are still pulling downward, with the only remedy being the seatback IF you are shorter than the seat. And even in that case the seat is more prone to give and allow the belts to pull down on your shoulders. So you still run more risk than with a stock belt, or a proper harness and bar setup.
But then again.. that would be an educated adult conversation.. why would we have one of those around here????

lol.
if you dont know what your talking about...dont talk...listen.
then after listening, maybe you will know what your talking about and can participate in the next discussion.
they should make that a rule, haha
