And the normal disclaimer: DO NOT run harnesses without a harness bar. Very dangerous if you are in an accident as it will compress your spine.. even in a semi-light collision.

Also, harnesses do raise your risk of injury in a bad rollover if the roof crushes. Stock belts allow your upper body to move side to side, harnesses do not. Meaning if the roof does crush, you are in worse shape with harnesses. This is why many serious guys will tell you not to even run them without a roll bar period.

Now, I do know guys that run them without harness bars just for autox. Obviously, the risk of running into anything but cones is almost nil, so the concerns of back injuries are pretty low there. A harness is a huge thing to have in autox, and I will be looking to put one in mine just for that purpose. IF you have autox'd with lap/shoulder belts, you know just why harnesses are sought after in the sport

thanks for the info.

i wasnt gonna go into details but since i already posted pics ill explain why i even made this thread.

ive got takatas and the eyebolts that come with them only fit in 2 place. (the same place on pass. and driver side) the rest dont fit anywhere that they are supposed to.

and they dont come with loops for a harness bar or roll cage so im trying to figure out what my options are.
