Default Head unit acting funny

Last couple of months I have experienced my head unit changing songs/ radio stations, basically having it jump around without me touching anything. this usually happens during start up when I am about to move the car. This only happens once occasionally so I don't know what is wrong. I have 37,XXX miles on my car, so what are my options for something like this?

I don't think its a problem with the scan button. I had the same problem with my HU. It was actually on the TSB (technical service bulletin). If you want to get it replaced just call the dealer to get the updated radio and have them install it.
If they give you any problems, just call up scion directly and they'll take care of it for you.

Even if my warranty is up? or does electrical components fall under a different category? well it never hurts to ask so I will make a call to scion soon.

radio is covered under the 3/36 warranty. Unless you paid for an extended warranty. There is a tsb out that outlines your problem. You could always call Scion and tell them about the tsb and your problem, they might replace it out of "goodwill" outside of warranty since it is a known problem.

Or if that doesn't work, spend $200 and get a nice alpine aftermarket headunit.
