Help with Kicker L7
Hey all, I need some help. I'm trying to figure out what amp to use, but I'm not too good with systems.
It's a single 12" 4-ohm Kicker L7. RMS@750, PEAK@1500. Because it's a solobaric, I don't know if I should just find an amp that's as close to those ratings as possible or if there's some special rules for them.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have my L5 hooked up to a JL 500/1. It sounds awesome and the amp is turned down to not distort the sub. With an L7 you might try to find a friend with a 500/1 and see how it sounds. If not loud enough for you try a 1000/1. JL rates conservatively and they are stable at 1.5 ohms. Hopefully you got the dual 4 ohm to run it at 2. I bought a 500/1 new when they first came out for 550. That one was stolen out of my old vehicle and found this one for 120 on craigslist. (It's probably my old one).. Other than that Kicker, Fosgate Power, or Alpine amps are good alternatives. No matter what, use the lpf and don't crank up the head unit. Adjustments should be made at the amp.
