How to make my A/C colder?
#21
i think it's funny, mika that these dealers say "it's fine" without ever evacuating and seeing exactly how much refrigerant is in there. No wonder Toyota is at the bottom of the list when it comes to dealer service quality. JD Powers was correct on that one. Guess it's corporate policy to make up excuses and don't do any work.

My Car felt exactly like that It would TAke FOREVER to cool down not only that but once it did get cold It was as cold as when I first got it off the dealership........Anyway I took it to the This past SAturday June 21, 08 and they indicated it was because they found the AC COmpressor with a Leakage they had to order the part and well tomorrow im suppose to go back so they could change it. The part is $1247.00 BUT IS COVERED under my warrenty. So I suggest U should try it out It might b that and should be covered.

alot of it depends on what is known as "wet bulb", which is the humidity influence on temperature. if your a/c hits 40 degrees i'd say it's "within specifications"
but i have seen some tc's putting out on average 33 degree temp air. scary but true.

best way to get your car to cool down quickly is to;
either have tint or a sunshade on your windshield,
once you get in the car, open all the windows/moonroof, and drive for a few minutes,
close everything and turn the a/c on,
once it starts to get cool, hit the recirculate button.
