I wouldn't take off the A-pillar if you have the side curtain airbags....seriously.

Personally, I would never mess with the SRS. But then again, I have no clue what I am doing so I'll leave the knowledgable people answer this.

You can take off the cover on the side airbags on the A-pilliar, they just snap off. Just don't touch the wire back there, I don't think anything would happen, but I also wouldn't want my face close enough to see what happens if something indeed does happen.

If you have curtain side airbags, you are out of luck in a different department... replacing your seats...

The curtain airbag doesn't deploy from the A-pilliar by the way...

i dont think all of the airbags deployed in that picture because wouldnt one have come out of the steering wheel?? i know there is an air bag in the a pillar cause im pretty sure i saw it...it was a long cloth tube.

anyway...i have decided not to intsall the pillar and gauges that i bought for my tc because of this problem. so if anyone with a tc that doesnt have srs airbags would like to buy them, let me know.

i have everything that came with the set seeing as how i never got to install it. i bought it off of ebay...here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-06...mZ250010072426

the three gauges that i got with it are: air/fuel, oil pressure, water temp :D
i will sell all of it for $100

i placed the pod on top of the pillar. then screwed it into the pillar with some short screws. making sure not to hit the wires.

well thanks merc for the pics and advice. but i have been thinking about it and i dont think im gunna put it on in fear that if i ever crash, i dont want my guage pillar to be the thing that kills me when the airbag deploys so im still planning on selling it if anyone is interested. thanks again
