I got the Kenwood DNX7100, looking to see who else has this installed and how easy it was.

i've been wanting that HU too and im also asking the same question cuz on crutchfield that thing costs 1399 ching ching ... the funds are not quite there yet ... OH and does the cover still close with the receiver installed?

i paid the $1400 but i financed it for 6 months
Sonic Electronics has it for $1000 but I chose Crutchfield because of everything I got with it, everything I need to install it

well it came in today and I really want to put it in but Im going to wait until early next week so that I can have a lil help for the install.

Well I got it installed, well pretty much. I have to get the faceplate cut and looking good but thats all thats left.

Abe's Of Maine has it for a bit over $1000 with the warranty. Sonic Electronics doesn't offer the factory warranty but their own instead.

Well....."officially" it doesn't. It's pretty good. Watched it two weeks ago on DVD.

everything was simple to hookup, the GPS unit is mounted on top of the headunit under the dash and the ground for the DVD is grounded to the frame that the HU is mounted to. all of the wires are directly behind the HU

I just noticed who it was that started this thread. I was up your way a couple weekends ago LiquidFX. Hit up the Fuddrucker's and outlet mall for some shoes. Seen you around SL a good bit before, but never talked to you.

How is the Ipod work on this deck, I have the DDX 6019 and it blows, you have to use the disc changer controls to work it so you cant even get to your play list or anything.

i dont have the I POD hookup yet, the install was very very simple
