I Want to LED Swap - Pink
My girlfriend just got her 2010 TC and she wants the pink gauges. I have been reading so many threads on how to do the soldering work yourself and I want to try it myself (after practicing of course). The thing that I am not sure about is what LED's to use... I hear people say that PINK LED's fade away fast. My ultimate goal for my girlfriend is to get the gauges to look like this...

^^^ Garage1217, I am a fan of your work!
If anyone knows what LED's or filters or anything that I should use, let me know, greatly appreciated!

^ Talk to Alan and I am sure he can give you a special price. He has done numerous pink LED swaps and no complaints at all. If you ship your gauges to him, he usually sends them back on the same day when he receives them if he is not busy with other swaps. His work is very precise and doesnt do a half a**/ b.s job and the LEDs he uses are very good quality and have great lighting detail.

Don't use pink LEDs. Use White LEDS with pink vinyl overlays as it works the best. I did mine an numerous other swaps and its not hard at all and takes almost no time to complete as long as you are good at soldering and have a steady hand. I've always purchased my raw parts straight from Jeremy (garage1217) and can vouch that the parts are awesome quality. Mine have been running strong since 2005.

As for the WHITE LED's how do you know which ones to get? because I've installed white LED's on the interior of my car, but they always turn out a "cool white" (blue tint), I love the color, but if the cool white is behind the pink vinyl won't it look more purple-ish?
