Ice Ice Baby! tC Stainless Steel Dead Pedal at Scionpro.com

I just made measurements and designed a template... as for the rubber coming through the holes, I would not know (other that stealing from my current pedals) how to go about getting that done. I agree that it would look better but I'd imagine that would add a bit to the cost. I think adding back light would be a bad idea as that would show dirt on the surface of the light.

Maybe you could contact a few custom rubber companies with a template and idea. All you would need is a flat backing with “nubs” that will stick through the holes. I’m sure if you ordered a decent quantity, you would get a cheaper price per piece. Once they make a mold, rubber is pretty cheap. It may drive up the production cost, but not necessarily the product cost. You’ll make the same profit, if not more, if you can get more people to buy.
Good point on the backlighting and dirt. But then again, if rubber ***** kept your foot from actually contacting the plate, the “tC” wouldn’t really get that dirty.
If you decide on doing rubber, I’ll buy one. Maybe I could get one shipped in 2 pieces, put in backlighting, then glue it together.

Well I'm not manufacturing these, all I did was supply a template. scionpro is making and distributing them. I wish I was able to produce a lot of things but I am far from having the means, I just have ideas and designs. If someone else wants to find a way to do it, go ahead, hell I'll even help!

Cavemanmac - I’m in the same boat. I have ideas, but I have to look for others to help me out with getting it done. “Jack of all trades, Master of none.” You were given credit for this product, so accept it. If it wasn’t for you, this product would not be available. We wouldn’t be talking about it right now if you had not have started it.
Scionpro – if any additional changes and/or profit are made beyond original agreements, you should give this guy a fair share.

What is it made of anyway ? $ 40 . 00 ? Yikes . I see they have quietly disappeared from this thread . Group buy scared them off huh ? $ 20 may be a bit high considering what it is made of but , alot more reasonable . Ahhhh . I have gone to that site before . I would not buy anyway . The language is so unprofessional . That stuff can stay in their " hood "

I say this only with the intent of constructive criticism...
Give me eBay language and I won't pay a penny more than an eBay price. Those of us who would spend $40 on such a part need to be taken more seriously and given the courtesy of plain Jane English. If my car dealer (or any salesman) gave me a bunch of fake accents and grammar, I'd shop somewhere else. It's one thing to have an accent... It's completely different when it's typed. It's bad enough I have to bear Hillary Clinton's fake southern drawl.
If you want to increase sales (or at the very least, justify your high prices), change that ackward typing slang accent thing you are doing. I expect a professional layout if you want me to pay high prices.

Just got mine in a day before promised. A little pricey for a thin sheet
metal, but it does complete the set. I filled in the gaps between the
factory pedal and the dead pedal plate trim with a mouse pad to the
shape of the dead pedal and pressed it between the factory dead pedal
and the stainless steel plate to prevent dirt and soil from getting
trapped in the spaces. Thumbs up to scionpro.com they even gave
me a few free stickers. Fast service!
