Sure, i could have went with longer wire to ensure i could hide the wires better but the longer the wire, the more resistance and can't have that.

Also, gotta ensure the grounding wires are as short as possible.

I believe all ground wires are 18" long running to the batts then the batts are grounded with 3 2/0 wires.

I personally like nice looking installs but when performance is a primary issue, i had to sacrifice looks over performance.

dude...... you wont notice the difference between 18 feet and 20 feet. granted its like another couple of ohm resistance but it wont be noticeable at all. i guess you have to sacrifice safety for performance too.

This might sound awkward to you but what isnt safe?

Let me fill you in here-

The amps are mounted to the box on top of Luxury Liner Pro with Lags with spacers between them to prevent overheating.

All the small wire to the right is just speaker wire which is secured on the side of the box and at the master amp.

All the blue wiring coming off the subs is power and ground.

Power was cut just to the right size to prevent movement, runs into fuse holder which is also secured with luxury liner pro underneath of it.

There are battery brackets on each end of the battery bank to prevent movement.

The entire setup was measured to be within 1\8" accurate.

When the batts were dropped in place, there is literally about that much room left between the box and back of the car total. They cant move anywhere.

The box is bolted through the frame 3 bolts per side with silicone to prevent rust.

There are dual 200A solenoids on the far right side to prevent the battery bank from draining the starting battery.

There is a 12v cut off switch in the back so if the charging system ever malfunctioned, once the voltage were to drop below 12.0v, it would immediately kill the entire stereo system.

I do not know really what is to be concerned about?

Let me know what you think because i dont think there is any.

So you're saying that the system has to look all messy to have good performance? LOL

what isn't safe is having your wires a mess like that, if one wire gets hot you have a short and you're ____ED

gets hot as in gets grounded or something similar?

Won't happen...

The master line which runs from the front to the rear is fused Twice, once up front and again in the rear before it reaches the battery bank.

All power lines running from amps are fused.

The only thing not fused is the wires paralleling the batts. That is stupid to fuse between them anyways and the wires are cut just in the right lengths so it wont happen.

I, too, had thought about if the wires got loose off the batts but it won't happen in terms of something dangerous happening.

The wires are so stiff that they cant bend nor reach long enough to come into contact with anything ground.

I am still not done installing every single little detail but safety is a main concern or should be for any install.

I'm not here to say nothing will get loose because nobody can say that but what i am saying is if something did come loose, i've already thought about that and made sure nothing bad would happen if it occurred.

i have, i know no other tC that has been able to fit this much stuff in the back.

I'm not making excuses, ... i'm tellin u how it is. The goal was to max out the room i had back there with the most potential to get loud. Everything is so tight fitted there was no other way but that.

IF you seen it in person, you would see there is no room for anything else.

When the door is shut, the box is 0.75" away from touching the hatch door, the amps have 1.5" clearance from the glass.

I had some other install ideas to make an install "look pretty" but i would be lucky to sustain 145db with these type of installs so i opted to just go full blown, as long as i retain the back seat which i did.

I'm hoping this install reaches close to a 150.
My last install was in a crown vic with 1 sub and one 1500w amp that reached a 144.3 @31hz.
This install is tuned to peak at 34hz.

NO he's trying to prove that the tC's trunk is big enough for all of his crap. Ya guys just don't understand.
LOL

We left this song playing for about 15 seconds....

All of a sudden, the slave amp just completely started smokin.... BAD.

The entire underside of the amp, all vents on the bottom and both ends of the amp were venting smoke.

that's the second time you have taken something out of context.

This is the last time i'm replying to this thread because it's more bashing then educational.

Back in december, some equipment was stolen right across the street from the police station so i installed over $1,500 worth of security on the car.

Everything was setup with this new setup and everything was fine except i wasn't getting a signal. I was trying to troubleshoot the problem over the phone when one of the amps went up in smoke.

Later, it was determined that the rca jacks had an input problem but that problem has been fixed since then, minor fix, that probably resulted from when some of my equipment was stolen a while back. Not my fault at all, i'm not illiterate when it comes to testing and setting up audio equipment.

You can hate and bash all you want, i'm in this for the hobby and to help others so i see how the guys over here have their opinions about this, bashing only.

That's fine, i'll keep this topic of mine away from this forum since it apparently doesn't interest anyone here.

Is there any reason you're using just the trunk and not the back seat?

If your goal is to hit high SPL (appears to be your priority), then you could do a lot better by tuning to a higher frequency. You might have even been able to hit 150dB with that previous system (if it actually did >144dB) by tuning somewhere between 50-70Hz. You'll sacrifice low-end and the output won't be very even (flat), but you'll get more SPL.

Don't know why everyone's on your case about the appearance, considering they don't have to drive it.

Wow......

Sure people go for the looks, but there are subs and amps that LOOK great and SOUND great too, without a fire hazard risk.

Does your hatch even close with all those amps stacked up?
