so i did another layer on the left side but the right side still hasnt dried after like 10 hours so i dropped some hardener on it and brushed it around so hope it is dry by tomorrow morning so i can do another layer then pop bot out.

im working on my fiberglass too i got 3 layers of matte on top of the fleece today . but its looking good but i dont thinking your mixing enough catalyst with the resin if it takes 10 hours....its supposed to be 14 drop per ounce of hardener but i usually do half that to have more work time but it also take longer time dry

aight guys, i was suggesting via PM that koteman change the PA's to a different sub since he hasnt ordered yet. here's the last PM i sent him. i decided it'd be best to open it up to the public so we can provide some opinion and direction for him. my goal is to provide him with the most kick ___ system he can get for the budget. prices have been taken from places such as eBay, woofersetc.com, and manufacturer websitess.
that's cool man. lets start with cost. the more power the subs require, the more expensive the amp will be. if we can find some good subs that dont require much power, we can save a good deal of money.
im happy you're open to options on the subs. ill be very honest with you...PA is about as bad as it gets. thats why i was worried about you and posted the offer for help.
so let's start with subs considering 3 ideas: let's have them be budget-conscious, not too power hungry, and decent sound quality
Candidates are:
Ascendant Audio Assassin (250w RMS, $110)
Mach5Audio MAW-10 (250w RMS, $77)
Alpine Type-R (500w, $110 when purchased as a pair on eBay)
Phoenix Gold RSd (400w RMS i think, $85 on eBay)
Dayton Quattro (200w RMS, $54+S/H)
CDT EF-100 (200w RMS, ill have to double check pricing for you, but it should be around 90)
Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 2 (250w RMS, $90)
Elemental Designs 11Kv.2 (600w RMS, $90)
Elemental Designs SQ10 (400w RMS, $70)
Polk MOMO (300w RMS, $100)
Sundown SD.1 (200w RMS, $60)
Have a look over all this stuff. Everything here is a quality item that won't do you wrong. Personal favorites, from my opinion, are the Assassin, MAW-10, Type-R, RSd, SD.1, and MOMO. For the price, the Dayton Quattro and SD.1 are real good performers. If looks matter though, a MAW-10, SD.1, and Quattro will not impress. They're meant to deliver performance, not appearance. Best looker? Depends on your point of view, but I love the "boob" cone look so Assassin is definitely a favorite in looks, also the MOMO with the grilles available separately just look awesome...and they should...they're styled by MOMO. I get the sense appearance matters so that's why I'm including these notes on appearance. Regardless, you should aim for performance. The top performers here are probably the MAW-10, SD.1, Assassin, and RSd. Again though, it's all subjective.
Amp can be had for under $200. Wiring from KnuKonceptz will keep wire prices low. A LOC can be had for around $20. We should be able to work with the $400 budget. If we go over a little bit, it won't be more than $50. You'll thank yourself for the extra $50 though. Your system will sound 10x better by changing from those PA's.
So once we decide on your subs, come back to me and I can help you find an amp for cheap. Amp is dependent on the subs though. Subs must be chosen first.
Hopefully I've helped!
