well higher impedances are a lil easier on your electrical system. i have all my stuff running at 4 ohms.

it all depends on the amp and the subs and everything that you buy. it's hard to just tell you what to get.

i'm not trying to be an ___ but you have the knowledge to build fiberglass boxes, but you don't know what to buy to put in them?

i have been doing car audio for a while and still haven't ventured into fiberglass.

so grab 2 of those RSd's in a dual 4 ohm configuration, then wire them to 1 ohm on the amp and each when will get about 500 or a tiny bit over.

nah that really is not expensive at all. car audio is not cheap... you get what you pay for.

the only bad thing i see with it is the size. it's 25" long. but other than that the specs look great and the price is good for that amount of power and features.

both are heavily over-rated. i dont trust their quality at all. i wouldnt run it in my car.

for something with a warranty that does 1kw, that amp is a helluva deal for 200 bucks. im confused on one thing....did you mean 130+40 shipping on the pair of RSd's or each one? cause if each one, then we need to get you squared away with a better seller. you said each so thats why im confused. if its for the pair though, then thats fine.

Looking at the size of what you've glassed thus far, go for the subs with the smallest enclosure requirements possible. No way you're going to have more than .5' available on either side, likely a lot less, so find a set of 10s you like that will perform well with .3'. You might even want to consider going with 8" subs.
I did the same enclosure a month or so back and the volume was .90. This was a rough calculation done by filling the enclosure to the rim with water and then weighing, deducting the weight of the enclosure itself. Of course this worked out well because the recommended volume for my MOMO 12's was .88 before displacement.

The thing you need to watch for is getting both volumes the same. I beleive the right side has more area so you may have to fill in some.

Hifonics amps will typically do about 80% of what they are rated for. Thats not a dead right number but it is close to the average of what people see.
Also, don't buy crunch. Hifonics has better quality than Crunch.

If the amp puts out more power at 1 ohm as opposed to 4 ohms then yes. And almost every amp does put out more power at 1 ohm than 4 ohms, there are a few exceptions.

If you take an amp that does 1k at 1 ohm and compare it to an amp that does 1k at 4 ohms. Then it really wont be louder or better sounding. I have heard arguments that it will sound better but I personally have no experience with that.
