im bulding custom fiberglass sub boxes

When you get ready to do your rings and fleece I suggest trying to aim the subs slightly back if possible. When you get the front on be sure to dab into the fleece really good so it soaks all the way through. Even though I had several layers on the front, the largest area that was towards the front still flexed some on hard hits. I ended up going back on the inside and putting another layer on that section.
I can already tell from your glassing that its going to be air tight. Once I siliconed around my wire and installed my sub I could not even push in.

What would be ideal is a temporary small enclosure you could experiment with different angles. You might find that firing forward sounds best to you.

I would laigh at the rings, but I know exactly why they are like that. I tried usng a rotozip to do my rings and after 3 bits and crooked circles, Ipicked up the jig saw and it was 100% better. I dont think the rotozip style cutters are suppose to cut 3/4 mdf.
But all in all, you are coming along amazingly well!!!

The power wire runs through the fire wall. If you look under the dash above the pedlas and behind the steering shaft, you cannot miss it!!
If you really needs pics, lt me know and I will go take a few!!

The grommet is large and the wires run through thecenter of it.
Take a metal hanger and cut it. PUSH it through the side of the rubber grommet till you can see it in the engine bay, it will come out near the left front strut tower behind the throttle body. Now take the power wire and attach it to the end of the hanger with duct tape. Pull the hanger HARD through the rubber boot, It will creat its own water tight hole for the cable.

can i simply ask you one question? after all the advice you were given, considering all the SL members who took the time to write posts that would inform and help you....why did you go entirely against us on the amp? we, who have used crunch amps and know they're awful...we, who have much more experience in car audio than you (not meant in a derogatory way)..and we...who took our time to help you...why did you go against every bit of advice you were given about getting a ____ty amp? this is an honest question...and i would really like an answer to it. after all the time we took to help you, the least you can do is answer this question for me.
