Default Infinity Kappa 60.7cs installation

hi...

i just purchased the infinity kappa 60.7cs speakers, i am curious if anyone has any ideas about these speakers. i am currently running a kenwood 4 channel amp for speakers, a kicker amp for sub. i was thinking about removing my rear two speakers and putting the new tweeters in the back and the kappas in the front does anyone know how that would sound?and i was also curious how to install the crossover. do i run the wire from amp to crossover? then crossover to speakers and tweeters? oh and i have a pioneer f90bt installed

thanks..

Ah ... but I see the product manual link is broken ... *sigh*

Sound imaging might be a little weird. My first thought is to say no, don't do it. That being said, if the distance which sound travels from the tweeter component to your ear is equal to the distance which sound travels from the woofer component to your ear, then you might be OK. But why are you wanting to separate them? Is this going in a TC? I don't know much, spatially speaking, about TC's since I drive a 1stGen XB. You mention a four channel amp but are you running 1 or 2 pair of components? I'm curious as to why you would want to divide them like that.

i was also curious how to install the crossover. do i run the wire from amp to crossover?
Yes, and therein might lie another reason not to separate the components but that might depend on the location of your amps and speakers. You will need to run a pair of wires from your amp to the crossover and then run a pair of wires from the crossover to the woofer and then another pair from the crossover to the tweeter. What model amp do you have?

1. Rear speakers are a waste. Music is recorded in stereo. Get some good components up front and a sub for bass.

2. Wire speakers to crossover then the crossover to the amp.
