Possible in the near future. I want to see how much interest out there for a remote start with your factory key fob.

The Luxlink is working just great for me. I'm just wondering what would happen if I left my car in 1st gear and had it remote started. Would it send my car flying??

Actually, the unit has a safely feature were you have to go through the sequence of event to activate the remote start. If you have any further question just contact me or Steve at the shop.

Oh, that's right. It won't activate unless I go through the sequence with my car in neutral.

After remote starting I have 3 seconds to hit 'unlock' again to unlock the doors. If I don't, then I have to use the key.
hmm, ok that i don't really like.

if only there was a solution to bypass the keysense after the car has started.

Agreed. What do you do if you want to remote start your car and get in five minutes later, but you don't want to mess with the key cylinder or you have your cylinders covered? I would be very interested in a group buy on this IF there's a way to remote-unlock the car any time after remote starting.

I got a pm regarding the the startup and shutdown sequence for the LuxLink. I drive a manual so shutting down involves a minor addition of pulling my handbrake 3 times.

You can see the video to know I mean.

Please be nice since it's the very first vid i''ve ever created!

How would one located in Massachusetts go about getting one of these? Also, how hard would the installation be? Does the key have to be programmed or is their a sensor that reads when you press the buttons.

And I looked through the site but I couldn't find a price on this for the tC. Any one know?

These questions may have already been answered, but I don't see it anywhere...

1. Do you have to use a second key installed in a bypass box somewhere?
2. Does it have protection against grinding the starter?

Actually you can change the setting up to 10 sec to unlock the car with the remote, after that you'll have to use the key.

You can contact us at LMW/LMS @ 626-256-4849 to order one. Actually the install not to hard if you know our way around the car. The hardest part is just the room you have to work with. We are working on a set of installation instruction for the DIY's. The key does not need to be program, but you need another set of key preferably a valet key or a uncut key with the tansponder to start the car. That key is hidden underneath the driver side kick panel. Hope this helps

Yes, you need another set of key, preferably a valet key or a uncut key with the transponder. As the the starter protection. The unit has a sensor and timer to protect against grinding the starter.

Could this be changed to allow the car to unlock remotely indefinitely? Say I have an iPod in my car, but I want to remote start. Now if I have to unlock it within 10 seconds, and I'm not getting in my car for another 3 minutes, it's going to be sitting there, unlocked, with my iPod ready for the taking. That's not good.

Also, what I meant about grinding the starter, was: If you remote start, then get in the car, then accidentally turn the key all the way forward, is it going to grind, or ignore the input?

The unit maximun setting to unlock the door after remotely starting the car is 10sec. Its has 3 settings 3sec, 5sec, and 10sec and cannot be change without changing the program to the luxlink. AS for grinding the igition all you have to do after the turn the key to the on postion, Do not crank the igition or you will grind the starter. Its like starting the car and trying to start the car again with the key. Any other question you can contact me @ LMW/LMS 626-256-4849 or email me at doug@lmspower.com

is there a neutral safety switch on the remote start? just incase you leave it in gear then try to start it and the car goes hopping across the parking lot and smacks into a light pole!

and furthermore, for manual tc's, can you completely trust your e-brake? especially after a long drive and the brakes are hot, then they contract after they cool? i know the e-brake is an inner-hub deal on the rear brake disc and that probably helps reduce the risk of the e-brake losing grip after heating up then cooling, but will it stop your car from rolling down a steep hill when you leave it in neutral?

Interested in group buy.

So does the remote start unit come with a security system too? Can it work with Scion's security system?
