and furthermore, for manual tc's, can you completely trust your e-brake? especially after a long drive and the brakes are hot, then they contract after they cool? i know the e-brake is an inner-hub deal on the rear brake disc and that probably helps reduce the risk of the e-brake losing grip after heating up then cooling, but will it stop your car from rolling down a steep hill when you leave it in neutral?
Actually the remote starter has a safety feature were it will not start unless the car is set in neutral and you do a set of sequence before you turn off the car. "Pulling the e-brake 3 times." If you have any further question just contact me at the shop.

Yes the remote starter has an optional alarm upgrade as well. With the factory system it more of a passive alarm. If you tap the glass and rock the car it will not go off. With this upgraded unit it will set the factory alarm off. Tsystem is design to work with all factory sytem including your alarm. As for a group buy will have one early next year. Need to get inventory level in for it as well as a full complete installation instuction for you DIY.

i have a few questions.. i am getting something like thsi for my girlfriend.. she has an automatic trans though.. the guy told me 275 installed and i just hit the lock button like 3 times or whatever.. my questions are 1. being it is an automatic does she have to do that 3 pull thing on the e-brake when she goes to get out of the vehicle? also i saw someone said that if you dont unlock the doors 3 seconds after remote starting you have to use the key to get int.. just wondering if there is any way around it.. i have never seen a remote start that would start the vehicle and then discable the fob.. thanks

As for pulling the e-brake 3X, no its only for manual because it a safety feature for the car. As for having 3sec to unlock the door you can change the setting from 3sec, 5sec, and 10sec. How the factory system works is that when the igintion turns the engine on the factory remote fob become disable after a set period of time. That is why you only have a max of 10sec to unlock the door.

Any update on this? I would be interested in purchasing this device. I'm in Chicago, so I would probably have to install myself.

i'm in socal too and getting an 08' tc in flint mica was pondering getting the remote start from where you got yours but do you have the factory scion security alarm that works with the stock keys too plus the remote start all in the same key? If so thats great and i would get it cuz like you i don't want any extra keys or remotes on keychain.HELP advice

fl1p_tc ,
Nope. This does not come with a pager to notify you if someone is breaking into your car. It can also come with an alarm unit if you don't already have one.

psycosoldier,
The alarm and this remote start unit are all controlled by the stock key (it's main advantage).

I thought it may have been a hassle at first but it's no big deal really.

Just hold onto the handbrake button and lift gently 3 times. Let go on the 3rd pull and the brake will engage.

I think most of the other remote starts will not require you to pull the handbrake. The Luxlink system can be programmed so I would give them a call and ask about alternatives to pulling the brake. You can ask for Doug or Steve and they will answer any of your questions.
