Default Interior Reupholstery project- Planning phase

Hey guys,
Im new to the forum so first off let me say hello. I have an 07 Tc. Black exterior with gold flaking in the paint. I AM going to have my entire interior from the floor to the ceiling including- dash, all seats, pillars, doors, carpet, headliner, trunk, and center console- all done in upholstery work. So now im on here looking for some good ideas to inspire me through the creative process. Im not getting leather because I think leather is played out but any other suggestions, color schemes, fabric types, or whatever you guys want to offer I will be more than willing to listen. I have the quote for the work. Its going to cost me about 4000 to have my car done how I want it. No bigs though;). Well hit me up with your thoughts. (Oh and before you post about me doing anything myself.....I suck at car stuff so it just wont happen lol)

Im going for more of an import tuner look to mine.....Ill have all the plastic upholstered as well as the fabric portions of the car. I dunno what scheme I want to lay out but well see.

im also looking for to replace my e brake and manual shifter. Thought about replacing my interior dome lights with blue lighting and the light in my center clock section with a blue light as well....also Im looking for some nice pedals....I figure since everything inside my car will be ripped out I mind as well get it all done due to convenience
When its done this summer I will post pictures for everyone as well

Go dry CF.......if their gonna cahrge you $4000 you may as well get something that will not fade and will last.

I was thinking of a cf interior two tone with vinyl but a friend of mine says cf is tacky nowadays.....yea Im not out to have the lowrider effect either but....thats pretty nice. That person doesnt have a complete interior overhaul either cause i still see some of the plastic in that but its a great reference on what I got to look forward to.....Im thinking a lot of piping vs stitching for the seams as well anyways still open to your guys suggestions and thanks for the replies thus far

im upholstering the plastic trims because it allows me to more fully customize my car's color scheme. Also, that must be interesting the whole scuba seat cover thing.....you gotta find pics of that.

You could do paint as well......the door and rear panels that area covered in cloth could be glassed and painted, then all upolstery to the rest,it would give the interior some depth.........

I did my panels and although it took me months to finish it was under $200 to do the paint part.......I did suede for the rest of the grey areas inside and the hatch, but not happy as a year later it faded, and that was with really good suede too.....that is why i suggest dry CF as it holds up a long time, and it is not out of date for imports.......it will be a long time before it is dated.

hmm well I know im doing vinyl and micro suede inserts for my seats Im thinking if I do a dry CF I would do a silver/black CF two tone.....then I may get the metal plating print vinyl done in the carpet molding area where the floor mats go......im also up for people posting pictures of some awesome original fabric designs I can incorporate into the design of the interior.....if someone rocks with an idea Ill even get their initials put into that particular section of the car as a thank you. Also I seen someone get their waterfall custom painted with like a dragon or something.....if anyone knows anyone really good at that.....id be super appreciative.

P.S. as a personal preference outside of the above waterfall mention....No paint ever lol had that experience and dont wanna go through it again lol
