Issue w/ the radio cover
Im just wondering if anyone else has this problem. I close the cover whenever I get out of the car to reduce the amount of dust that would get into my radio. But sometimes when i close the CAR door the radio door pops and opens up on its own. I have to close the door really soft in order for it to stay closed.
Anyone else have this "problem?" or is it normal?

well that's no good. Just take it in. I just got mine replaced because it wouldn't open after i closed it HA! totally sucked! now it's fixed and working great! only they scractched my silver piece on the side it has a bunch of scratches on it like they dropped it on the floor so i called and opened a can of whoop ___ and demanded they replace it. They said OK! i said OK HA!

this might be a weird question, and a bit off subject:
but what happens when you slam the door really hard on the tC or any car on that matter?? should i be worried about it? my tC's doors close with very light force. some of my friend's who are use to slamming the doors to get it close do it on my car by accident. damn it sounds painful when they SLAM my door. just wondering if there's anything inside that's sensitive to shock. like if the wondow motor/alignment is easily broken by doors being slammed.
i never taken my door apart so i'm not sure what kind of parts are inside.

What kind of slamming are we talking about? Does it shake the car?
I know it used to be an issue with Ford's that if you slammed the door too hard, it would knock a sensor out of place needed to start the car. I think Ford was the only company to do that though. I never heard about it from anyone else.
Other than that, I think just slamming the door too hard is about the same as slamming the front door of your house too hard or something. It won't cause immediate damage, but over time, the points that actually touch could show some damage. It all depends on how well Toyota designed the car though.
What does everyone else think?
