i have 1 jl audio 10w1v2 with an e1200 amp. the sub is only getting 120 watts RMS and it hits nice, clean and hard. i have a friend who has two duals w/ 400 watts goin into them and my 1 sub hits cleaner and harder then his two. i also have a friend who has 2 12w0s which i believe are discontinued now and they pound, too much if u ask me. the w1 is a new series and it is susposed to be better then the w0s and the 12w0s can be had for about 100 a sub and 500/1 and ur set for life. lol.

cool thanks guys. hey also i got a few other questions. what type of amp wiring kit did you get and what is the fuse rated? also, you guys think say runnin 1 10"w3v2 w/ a 300rms amp would need a capacitor? would it hit pretty hard?

^^^ don't get a capacitor, they don't work like everyone thinks they do... 1 10w3v2 would hit pretty good and sound really clean!!

I've always used JL subs and they always last forever while sounding great.

I currently have a 12w1v2.4, it sounds so clean in the tC.

Ohyeah, PlayinWithFire, that's an awesome setup.

i dont know where you got that from because they do "work" they just dont solve power problems. The capacitor would help in cases where the amount of power being drawn for the sub(s) out weighs that of the stock 90 amp alternator. Now the capacitor would help hold charge for the subs to use and help minimize the risk of using power from other accessories more necessary to the function of the vehicle (namely headlights: they will be the first thing you notice to begin to flash when the bass hits real hard) The capacitor would only be a bandaid on the wound but would definatly help alot.

if you go extreme ud need to updrage the battery and alternator

if you can't tell ive been studying for my honors physics final

u might just wanna run it for a while and see what happens.. you can always buy a cap later! that really isnt too much power cause im running the 1000/1 amp and 300/4
