OK, so I got my Kicker Solo Baric l5 10", they said it will handle 800-900 watts peak power.... RMS 450.

I need and Amp now... below $300 and from Circuit City.... i.e. Kicker, MTX, Pioneer..... by the way, 2 ohms

Not sure where your from but I have a kicker solo l5 12'' and im running it off a 500.2 Rockford Fosgate bridged. I can easily set off car alarms with this single sub.
Im selling the amp for 200. year warranty

I would get a bigger amp than that, the kickers are meant to handle better with more power. I'd go with something like this http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...mp&i=206ZX7501

REMEMBER YOUR MORE LIKELY TO BLOW A SUB BY UNDERPOWERING IT, NOT OVERPOWERING IT@!

eclipse is made by pioneer...think of eclipse as lexus and pioneer as toyota...its a good product. Plus, I would stay away from Crutchfield...they do have an excellent selection but are rediculously over priced IMO

just find a kicker kx500 or kx750 and you will be golden.

I have 2 10L7s in my bedroom gonna install them one of these days and will power it with a T10001bd amp. each sub will roughly see 750watts. One day if I can ever get an aftermarket alternator, I will probably throw 1k watts to each.

Nobody has ever blown a sub from "underpowering" it. subs are blown from using an amps past its limits, or just straight up over powering. but headroom is good.

If you want to use 500 watts get and amp that does 750 or so. that way you can get your 500 watts and not be pushing the amp to it's limits.

I gotta disagree with that whole post. The ZX750.1 is way to much for that sub. Kicker's build quality on the L7's and L5's are not the best. That amp you posted is underrated and most of them do almost 900rms @ 2 ohms which is double the rms of the L5. The zx400.1 will do close to 500 probably and will work perfectly for the L5.

And you can't blow a sub just because your underpowering it.

Im guessing when you say "2 ohms" at the beginning, you mean the sub can be wired to 2 ohms....So the sub is dual 4 ohm I assume?

since never. why would they cannibalize the premier line if they did?

also the new eclipse amps are out and they're supposed to be really nice. i haven't seen em in person yet though.

Take a drive to Circuit City and see what amps are rated 450 watts or more at 2 ohm that's under your budget
