Katzkin Leather Install with Pics
Since there is no DIY on installing Katzkin seat covers for the tC, and I've never done it before, anyone who has done this any tips are appreciated.
So far, I did find a DIY on how to remove the rear seats and front seats so that help a lot.
I also found a DIY on how to install Katzkins on an xA.

Katzkin sells a cd but I bought them from someone and they didn't come with instructions, they are brand new and have never been installed. I have a show on Sat, so I need these ASAP!...
I just finished the back seats, wasn't too difficult. I did take pics of the "zip tie method" and will post pics tomorrow, I'm tired! Been doing this since 7pm!

Actually it was not that hard, but it did take me 3 hours to do the back seats. My first time ever, never even put car seat covers on before. Taking the seats out were simple, pull up on the bench releasing the two pins in front one on each side, then lift up because there is a latch on both sides in the back, then slide out. To remove the backs, unscrew the five 14mm bolts in front and 4 in back. You will have to unscrew the luggage latches (10mm bolts), remove the flap piece, then remove the black plastic piece (clips) to get to the 4 screws in back.
To remove the factory covers on the seat backs, there are zippers and some hog rings. You will also have to remove the round plastic caps on the bottom. The hog rings are a pain to remove unless you have the right tool, I just used a needle nose and screwdriver, but it took a while to get all of them off. The reclining levers are screwed in, just pop open with a knife and unscrew to loosen and remove fabric. Around the head rest holes, you will have to pull one corner off to get the fabric around the plastic pieces. The seat belt piece is actually sewn on, which was a pain I just cut all the stitches and removed it.
I now took the Katzkin and turned it inside out and it goes on like a condom, lol. Jjust made sure to stretch it and get it as tight as possible. There are flaps inside with plastic strips adn this is where I slit a hole and wrapped a zip tie around the plastic and metal rod that's inside the foam. If you don't make sure to pull it tight and then zip tie/hog ring then it will have wrinkles.

Yay, passenger side is done!
I will be doing the head rests on Friday, and the driver's side tomorrow after work, and then I have a 3 day weekend! Getting ready for a show on Sat, so I started installing these Katzkins well in advance. So far, no problems cept my fingers hurt! On to the pics:
The passenger side seat cover is held on with clips and hog rings. I removed the hog rings with pliers and used the zip tie method, since I cannot find a place around here that sells the rings The zip ties work really well, and in some places I put 2 or 3 just to be safe. I just slit a hole, fed the zip tie around the rod in the foam, and around the plastic strip. On the rear seats, I didn't have to tie around the rod first, but it's hard to get your fingers down in the foam with the leather stretched so tight.

For the head rest holes, I started a cut in the middle of the hole and made an "X:. I then little by little, cut the X bigger until I could stretch the leather over and tucked it under with a butter knife, a very dull one lol. You don't have to cut much of the leather, but I did have to trim back the foam backing behind teh leather to help it stretch over. Same thing for the lever on the side. Started a cut in the middle of the slot and stretched the leather over and tucked it under. The top of the plastic lever piece pops out too, to make it a little easier.
